Storing our nuts for winter

Just like squirrels we have had a frenzy of preserving the bounty of Summer. Sadly not all was our own produce as the lack of rain and days of heat made it quite hard for both the plants to grow, and for us to maintain them… but as with all good squirrels we waited until the local shops had specials on tomatoes and berries and bought up big.  When we could no longer get into our fridge, due to the twelve kilos of tomatoes we bought, we had a pasata making weekend followed closely by a couple of days of jam making and fruit dehydrating… But now we feel ready for winter… if only we had somewhere to store our bounty…
